Dear Friends,
Spring is a wonderful season to remember the resurrection of Jesus! The beautiful bird songs, blooming daffodils and warming winds thrill us as nature awakens from her winter sleep.
The month of April started with an unexpected turn of events. Original plans to minister in Pincher Creek, AB were altered and instead arrangements were made for me to minister in Elkford, BC. The plans were made very quickly with little possibility for advertisement. Only about a dozen folks came for the Wednesday evening service.
But that night proved to be a divine encounter for two young men in their twenties. Both, who had come to the church for the first time at the invitation of friends, very clearly understood that God was speaking to them to surrender their lives to Him. God met with them and touched their hearts in a powerful way. I was amazed how God had orchestrated the events; a reminder that He will direct us, even when we are not aware of the greatness of His plan.
As I ministered across southern British Columbia, the Lord was very present in every service. Although I was singing and speaking in many different venues and the schedule was very intense, everywhere people were encouraged and drawn closer to Jesus. In the two days I was in Cranbrook, for example, I was able to share at a Christian school, a rehabilitation home, and a ladies brunch – as well as services each evening! While in the Surrey, BC area, I was privileged to minister in several churches. In Maple Ridge I was greatly encouraged by the response of over forty people who attended on a Thursday evening. There was a strong awareness of the presence of Jesus and many came for prayer, receiving encouragement from the Lord.
Among regular services in the People's Full Gospel Church I had the opportunity to speak at unique ethnic services with Spanish and African groups as well. On the Sunday evening, an area wide women's night out was also arranged. What a thrill to be able to encourage all of those who came.
The Lord willing, most of the month of May I will be ministering again in southern Alberta. I will also be participating at a minister's conference in Halifax. Here is the itinerary outline for the next few weeks. (More details are posted on the website)

I am profoundly grateful for your prayer support. I am amazed and grateful for the excellent health and strength I have experienced in spite of a very heavy speaking itinerary. Your encouragement and prayer support are deeply appreciated.
May the Lord continue to strengthen and direct you – to give you a "hearing heart" and a "seeing soul" as you follow after Him.
In Christ,
Anita Pearce
P.S. In Genesis we have the story of Jacob's favorite son, Joseph, who was sold by his brothers into Egyptian slavery. Through the painful circumstances God was with him, blessed him and eventually he became the prime minister of Egypt. He named his second son Ephraim because in Genesis 41:52 he said, "…God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction" (NKJV).
When we review his life story we learn four secrets of how he flourished in spite of his rejection, pain and difficulties.
- He forgave those who caused his suffering
- He forgot the past anguish
- He focused on his present situation
- He followed after excellence in his service to God and fellowman.
These lessons are timeless. If we apply them to our lives we also can be fruitful in spite of present challenges.
